Delaware Tire Centers serves the automotive repair, tire, and wheel needs of drivers throughout Delaware and the eastern shore of Maryland. Over the years, we've expanded into three locations in Newark, DE, Dover, DE, and Salisbury, MD.

The History of Delaware Tire Centers

Delaware Tire Centers has spent the last years delivering extensive auto repairs to satisfied customers throughout Delaware and the eastern shore of Maryland. We focus on building strong customer relationships and providing the highest quality of workmanship on each and every automotive repair.

Delaware Tire Center was founded in 1968 by the late James W. Baxter. He created a successful business that expanded and thrived because of his commitment to his customers and his high standards of integrity. Those characteristics were passed along to James (Jay) Baxter Jr. and Matthew Baxter, who took over the operation after their father’s death in 2003.

Jay and Matt pride themselves on following in their father’s tradition with a company-wide commitment to outstanding service, up-front pricing, and guaranteed satisfaction. When you walk into any of our three stores, you will be greeted by an honest, friendly, and knowledgeable sales staff. The professionals at Delaware Tire Centers will offer you a full line of tires and services and are available to answer any of your automotive questions. The sales staff, trained as Certified Alliance Professionals, has been provided in-depth training on the design and performance of MICHELIN®, BFGoodrich®, and Uniroyal® brands. Our highly trained technicians and mechanics are committed to providing your car with reliable, quality care. Our up-front pricing policy means that all tire purchases include free mounting, valve stems, balancing, and free tire rotations every 5,000 miles.

All three Delaware Tire Centers locations have undergone renovations. In Dover, we have made several building and showroom improvements while maintaining the historic integrity of downtown. Newark renovations to the showroom and waiting area included the addition of computer stations and comfortable TV viewing area for adults and kids. We expanded from four bays to seven in Salisbury to increase efficiency and decrease your wait time. We also renovated the showroom and created a fun place for the kids to play in Salisbury.
